Joaquin "Jack" Pereira, 63, of Taunton, formerly of Easton, passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2025. He was the companion of Catherine L. Gilmore for 30 years.
Born in Jersey City, NJ., a son of the late Manuel and Idilia (da Rosa) Pereira, he was raised in Easton and was a 1981 graduate of Oliver Ames High School.
Jack was employed as a commercial truck driver and was employed by PA Landers Inc. of Hanover for 30 years.
Jack was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of 22 Ride Club. Jack was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 238 of Easton, The Elks of Mansfield and the Italian Club of Taunton.
Jack was a former body builder and was an active Easton Pop Warner Coach who served as past president. He was an avid Boston Bruins, New York Jets and New York Yankees fan.
Jack's hobbies included fishing and playing cornhole. Mostly, Jack treasured time spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his companion Catherine, he is survived by his daughters Aaliyah Pereira and her wife Clara of Franklin and was the father of the late Joaquin "Jack" Pereira Jr.;
His siblings, Clarissa Rogers of South Carolina, Manuel Pereira of Easton and Luisa Bassett of CA.; his close aunt, Carlotta Acevedo of Taunton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Monday at 10:45 a.m. from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase Street, Easton at Noon. Visiting hours on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack's memory may be sent to Ride 22, 365 Shag Bark Road, Taunton, MA. 02780.
