Joe Edward Jarvis, 96, of Town and Country, MO, formerly of Ashland, KY, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Mari de Villa Senior Living.
Joe was born April 18, 1929, in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Elmer P. and Cora M. Day Jarvis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth J. Runyon Jarvis and two brothers, Elmer (June) Jarvis and William (Bill) Jarvis.
He is survived by sons Larry Jarvis (Debbie) of Grayson, KY and Joe Jarvis (Judy) of Fieldale, VA and daughter Kim Jarvis Howes (Steve) of Ellisville, MO, four grandchildren Jessica Jarvis, Joan Jarvis Tyler (Brian), Amanda Howes Fickbohm (John) and Adam Howes (Haley) and four great granddaughters Chloe Kennedy Quaife (Quentin), Jackie Kennedy, Mia Howes and Adalynn Howes and loving nieces and nephews.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland, KY and retired after many years with Armco Steel Mill, Ashland, KY.
Funeral services will be held at Steen Funeral Home, 13th Street Chapel in Ashland, KY on Saturday, July 19. Visitation from 10 to 11 AM and service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
