My condolences to Ruth and her sons in the passing of dear Joe. He was part of a close circle of my friends there in Peoria when I was young. Always bubbly, amiable and upbeat he was such fun to spend time with. I always considered him a dear and faithful friend.
Besides his contributions to the City of Morton and local church service, he was very active in local community theater which he loved so much. I was so sorry to hear of his sudden illness and had listed him in our church prayer book; asking for comfort to his loved ones and an easy passing for Joe. i did not know until just now that he had passed. .
I send prayers for solace, for comfort to his family, with whom he was so very close and, I know, he loved dearly.

Dear family of Joe
We send our deepest sympathy at this time of loss. We always enjoyed meeting him at our reunions. May God be your comfort. We can't get to visitations very often as Earl can't stand in line long since his broken femur.
Our love & prayers,
Earl & Esther Gerber

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I am so glad that Joe was well enough to bring his Mom, Ruth, down to the Austin strawberry patch one more time in June. I clearly remember the day Joe and I connected when we had our first rehearsal for Evita many years ago!
