Joe M. Ojeda, Jr., 47, of The Colony, Texas, passed away on October 7th, 2024. He was born to parents Joe M. Ojeda, Sr. and Suzy Ojeda, on November 4th, 1976, in Dallas, Texas.
He graduated from The Colony High School in 1995. Later, he earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology at The University of North Texas.
Joe proudly served in the US Marine Corps, and would go on to incorporate discipline and fitness in his everyday life. He competed in numerous powerlifting competitions, winning multiple state and world records. Joe shared his passion for sports working as a Fitness Trainer for over 20 years.
Joe was an avid reader, immersing himself in books and his studies. He enjoyed the company of animals very much and being outdoors working on the lawn. He had a love for music and movies, recalling lyrics and scripts effortlessly. If you met him, he undoubtedly had a unique and special nickname for you.
Joe is survived by his Mother, Suzy Ojeda, Brother, Joe Martinez, Jr., and Sister, Sarah Ojeda, along with numerous family and friends that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Joe M. Ojeda, Sr., Uncle, Genaro "Uncle G" Amador, and dogs, Chester, Penelope, and Chloe.
The family has entrusted Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home with the arrangements. A service is scheduled for Friday, October 25, 2024, at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Colony Animal Shelter.
