Wade loved his family, travel, history, and Alabama football!
Wade is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Ramona Short, and his sister Teresa Lynn Short. He is survived by his beloved wife Nena Martinez, his children, Maggie Tatum (David), Sam Short (Clayton Ann), grandson William Oliver Tatum, sister Sharon Runyon, as well as his former wife Amy Short (Joe Littlepage) and extended family.
His family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to the Saint Paul's United Methodist Church Gifts & Memorials Fund in his honor (https://saintpaulsumc.breezechms.com/form/a1e96280 ). In Alabama, donations may be made to the Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Maplesville, Alabama.
A service celebrating Wade's life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 6, 2023, at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, with a reception immediately following.
Kelly Barber of Bevis Funeral Home (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is assisting the family with their arrangements.
