John G. Angland, a.k.a. Johnny "Irish", 66, of Suffield, beloved husband of Colleen for 39 years passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Born April 19,1958 in Ireland, he was the son of the late Thade and Hannah Angland. He left Ireland as a teenager and made the states his home. Before retiring he worked as a tire technician for Fleming Transportation. Johnny enjoyed traveling, riding horses, and spending time with family and friends. He lit up a room everywhere he went as the life of the party. He had a great sense of humor and was kind and generous. The family is forever grateful for the care Johnny received from the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Francis Hospital. Besides his wife Colleen, he is survived by a sister, Margaret Tuohey of Birmingham, England, a brother, Maurice Angland and his wife, Margaret of Clarecastle, Ireland, a sister, Eileen O'Donoghue and her husband, Con of Glenflesk, Ireland; a brother-in-law, Frank Fleming and his wife, Denise, a sister-in-law, Kathleen Morin and her husband, Bill, a brother-in-law, Shaun Fleming and his wife, Alicia; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his two best friends, his pet dogs, Waylon and Rita. His family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 1-4 pm at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 446 Mountain Rd., Suffield. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Enfield.
