John Arboleda, age 50 of Plano, IL passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Valley West Hospital in Sandwich, IL. He was born in Ecuador on April 30, 1972, the son of Jorge and Gladys (Montesdeoca) Arboleda.
John was united in a civil union with the former Monica Armas on September 25, 1998 and they spent the next 24 years together. On March 12, 2016, John and Monica were joined in Holy Matrimony. Mr. Arboleda was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL, where he loved being a lector and a part of the "Escuela de la Cruz" men's group. He also spent many years as a semi-truck driver. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Monica Arboleda; his children, Claudia Saavedra, Steven Arboleda (of Schaumburg), Marily Chantal Arboleda, and Ashley Arboleda of Plano, IL; his grandchildren Alejandro Rodriguez, Catalina Arboleda, and Jimena Espinosa; his mother, Gladys Arboleda; his siblings, Mery Colon, George Arboleda, and Edwin Arboleda of Schaumburg, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jorge Arboleda.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the St. Mary Catholic Church, 1001 North Center Avenue, Plano, IL. Interment will take place in Little Rock Township, Plano, IL.
Friends may visit from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL.
