Johnny was a devoted son to his mother, caring for her for many years until her death last year. He was a kind and gentle soul, a caring brother, and a thoughtful friend who will be deeply missed and held lovingly in our hearts. He is survived by his sister, Mary C. Bevans of West Hartford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery

Hadn´t seen John in years, but we went to Hall together. He was always so nicely dressed, and able to start conversations with anyone. I sometimes felt on the outskirts of things, but John talked to everyone and I didn´t feel that way when he was around. May he find rest and peace.
