Louise Sambuco-Presutti, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Civita Rehab Center. Born in Hartford on April 22, 1936, she was the fourth of five children of Louis Sambuco and Jenny Mondazzi. She was 89 years old. She attended Weaver High School until the family moved to West Hartford where she went to Hall High School graduating in 1954. While she had many hobbies, she always leaned toward musical activities, playing the piano, dancing, singing in choirs (at Hall, in the Inter-High Choir and in various Churches). Additionally, she was a member of a highly successful bell choir. Along with her sisters Olga and Alice they formed a singing trio and performed in various venues in Connecticut. Not content with all of this activity, she was a member of the Connecticut Opera and assisted in various performances. Louise worked at the Southern New England Telephone Company until 1958 when she traveled to Europe to join her fiancé Robert Presutti, then stationed in Germany with the United States Airforce. They were married in Rome at the Vatican (St. Peter's). Upon returning to the States, she and her husband purchased a home in Enfield where they had three children; Robert Jr., Lisa, and Richard. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. She is survived by her sister Alice, her brother-in-law Bruno Amato, and her three children. Friends and family may call Tuesday, July 29 from 5-7 pm at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave. West Hartford. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 N. Main St. West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
