We regret to announce the passing of John C. (Jack) Eckhardt, Jr., 64, on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, at Doylestown Hospital after a courageous battle with gastric cancer. He was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania. He was an International Contract Sales Analyst Principal for the United States Postal Service in Washington, D.C. Jack loved working with numbers and spreadsheets. He could 'see around corners.'
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a devoted Christian man who was always making others happy. He was funny, an extraordinary listener, and the most trusted confidant. Jack was a devoted family man who loved his spouse, children, and grandchildren, above all else.
He was the beloved spouse to Lorie Eckhardt, with whom he shared a large, blended family. He was a devoted father to Jack III Eckhardt and wife, Cristin, Debbie Peppe and husband, Kyle, Danny Eckhardt and wife, Bianca, and Tommy Eckhardt and wife, Melanie. He was stepfather to Shawn Rennie and wife, Kami, Diane Kirk and husband Dan, Patrick Rennie, and Brendan Rennie and fiancé Aleigh. He was pop-pop to Sydney, Zoey, Liam, Lily, Bennet, Riley, Hunter, Lucy, Hannah, and Madison.
In his free time Jack enjoyed sitting at Brigantine beach, reading, and learning how to play the guitar and violin.
Jack is survived by his spouse Lorie, four children, four stepchildren, ten grandchildren, sisters Jeanne Myers and Joyce Eckhardt, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Jack is also survived by his former wife Debra. He was predeceased by his parents John C. Eckhardt Sr and Verna Irene (Even) Eckhardt and his brother-in-law John Myers.
Jack will be dearly missed by all who know him, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
Family and Friends are invited to attend funeral services for Jack at John F. Givnish of Buckingham, 4886 York Rd, Buckingham Pa.18912. Saturday, April 6th, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am, with a service to follow at 11:00am.
