John P. Fleming

John P. Fleming, 71, of Suffield, Connecticut, beloved husband of Elizabeth "Liz" (Fouche) Fleming, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 16, 1952 in Hartford, son of Florence (Moschetti) Fleming of Jupiter, FL and the late Harold V. Fleming, Sr., John lived in Suffield most of his life, graduating from Suffield High School with the Class of 1970. For the past 30 years he owned and operated Water Specialists, LLC, in Bloomfield. John was a member of the Suffield Sportsmen's Club, he was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, and he loved to golf. John also owned race horses and was a classic car enthusiast – his 1955 Chevy Bel Air was his pride and joy. Besides his wife, Liz, he is survived by his two children, John P. Fleming, Jr. and his wife, Kristin (Leahy) of Enfield and Ashley E. Fleming of Enfield; a brother, Harold V. "Kip" Fleming, Jr. of Jupiter, FL; a grandson, Connor Howley of Enfield; and many brothers- and sisters- in law, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Pamela G. (Fleming) Hunt. His family will receive friends on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11:00 am at Second Baptist Church, 100 N. Main St., Suffield followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield.
