"Swabbie" as he was known in college was always perfectly groomed and ready for fun anytime.... Many fond memories from our SAE days. Always spoke of York Pa and seems that was where he lived his whole ...just a great friend.

I went to school with John at Ohio Wesleyan and we were in the same fraternity (Sigma Alpha Epsilon). Had many an adventure with John back in our misspent youth. John was always dressed well and preferred scotch when must of us were simple beer drinkers. John always seemed to have a mild disposition and was a fun guy. Although he was in the army, his nickname was "Swabbie" as if he were in the navy. No idea where his nickname originated??
My condolences to John´s family. John was a super guy in college and I´m sure no less the rest of his life.

To the family of John Glatfelter.
My deep condolences to you all.
Though not in my life for many recent years, I frequently think of my friendship with John, how lucky I was to be his friend and what a kind and fearless individual he was to be with.
With my dearest and best thoughts,
George P. Kegler
