He was born in Wales Township, Michigan, January 30, 1943 the son of the late Anthony and Mary Jakubiak.
He married Geraldine "Gerry" Tucker on August 17, 1963.
John enjoyed farming, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren, who he affectionately referred to as "BreeZ" and "Max with a Swinging Axe"
Surviving are his loving wife of 61 cherished years Gerry; daughter, Pamela (Rich) Ardoin; granddaughter, Sarah (Tony) Klug; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Maximus; siblings, Sue (Clifford) Krimmal, Daniel (Rose), and A.J. (Lynn); sister-in-law, Claudia Jakubiak; brother and sister-in-law, William and Patricia Paquin; special nephew, Conner Jakubiak and his loving dog Jed as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his dear son, Kenneth, his parents and siblings, Phyllis, Leonard, and Thomas.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Holy Family Parish, Memphis, with 10:30 a.m. visiting. Fr. Tony Sulkowski will officiate. Burial at St. Philip Neri Cemetery, Columbus.
Memorials are suggested to "Wishes of the Family".
