John P. Kelly, Jr., 67, of Hummelstown, PA passed away with his beloved wife Mary of 43 years by his side on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

He was born on September 12, 1958 in Harrisburg to the late John P. Kelly, Sr. and Marita (Harrington) Kelly.

John was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, PA, Class of 1976. He was an incredible high school athlete. He played football (#72), baseball, and even participated in the state wrestling tournament his senior year. He played every down of every football game, offense, defense, and special teams. He never left the field. He was awarded CD High School Athlete of the year for 76'. He was a graduate of the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, Class of 1980. He received a "full ride" athletic scholarship playing Linebacker (#57) for 4 years, and his buddies referred to him fondly as "JK" or "Jake". He received a bachelor's degree in business administration.

John's number 1 priority in life was to be there for his family, whether it be a soccer game, a band concert, a softball game, a graduation, or even just a birthday party. His larger-than-life size and heart were felt by everyone around him from family and friends, to customers and strangers who became new-found friends. He would spend hours talking or showing support for what others in his life had going on.

His career was as a Contractor. He built decks, additions, and homes, ultimately becoming the founder of "Kelly Homes & Remodeling" which his son continues to operate. John was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic

Church in Harrisburg.

He is survived by his wife, Mary C. (Donley) Kelly, his son, Ryan P. Kelly and his wife, Agnieszka of Palmyra, his 2 daughters; Megan E. Laverty and her husband, Matthew of Middletown, Maura C. Beehler and her husband, Jeffrey of Woodbridge, VA, his brother, Thomas V. Kelly and his wife, Tammy of Camp Hill, his sister, Marita E. Kelly of Cleona, and

his 5 grandchildren; Adrianna Kelly, Jakub Kelly, Ellie Laverty, Owen Laverty and Ivy Laverty.

Visitations with family will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Jesse H.
