John W. Legler, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  He was born on March 29, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Virginia Legler.
John was retired from Sherman Brothers Mill Supply where he worked in the warehouse for many years.  He met the love of his life, Beulah, at a very young age and was blessed with a 62 year marriage to her, together they raised a wonderful family full of love.  John was a sports fanatic and in his younger years he even had the highest score on his bowling team.  He was a University of Kentucky and University of Louisville fan and loved watching NCAA basketball and football.  Being left handed was always a topic for John, using it jokingly to bond with others that were left handed.  John loved a good game of poker and was quite good at playing pool.
Preceding John in death was his parents; his sisters, Marilyn Black and Joann Board; and his brother, Raymond Legler. 
John is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beulah Legler; his son, David Russell Legler; his sisters, Sherry and Lynn; his brother, Lee Legler (Janet); his granddaughters, Amber and Ashley; his great-grandchildren, Brett, Joseph and Grayson; along with many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to honor John's life will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes West, 4400 Dixie Highway.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
