John McCroskey Lynn

John M. Lynn was born March 23, 1936 and died peacefully on Sunday July 7, 2024. A graduate of Stadium High School, John earned a business degree from Washington State University and his MBA from Pacific Lutheran University. He owned and ran C.O. Lynn Co. Funeral Home and was a third-generation funeral director until his retirement in 2004. He was an avid outdoorsman and led many climbs up Mt. Rainier and other area peaks. John volunteered for a variety of organizations and successfully ran for public office serving as member of the Tacoma School Board and the Ocean Shores City Council. Before and during retirement John and his wife Sally, who died in 2019, travelled in Europe, Africa, Mexico, and Asia. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jake and Teresa Mehl of Everett, WA; his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Judy Lynn of Valparaiso, IN; his niece and nephew-in-law, Christi and Mel Lee and their children; his nephew and niece-in-law, Dennis and Kellie Ide; sister-in-law Carol Tamanaha and brother-in-law Kumar Naravana; and nephew and niece-in-law Tony and Terri-Lynn Kalhagen.
