John Patrick Maulshagen, 58 of Toms River N.J. died Friday, August 9, 2024, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born and raised in Elizabeth, N.J., John attended St. Genevieve School and Roselle Catholic High School.
John proudly served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. John loved to fish and was an avid Yankees and Giants fan.
John is predeceased by his mother, Joan Ann Maulshagen, and sister Patricia Ciccozzi.
Surviving are his father, Thomas J. Maulshagen of Toms River, brother Thomas M. Maulshagen and his wife JoAnn of Beaufort, N.C., brother Michael J. Maulshagen and wife Tina of Toms River, brother-in-law David Ciccozzi of Toms River, and John's nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly: Juliana Ciccozzi, Victoria Ciccozzi and Johnathan Ciccozzi of Toms River, Matthew Maulshagen of Beaufort N.C., and Stephanie Maulshagen and Alissa Maulshagen of Toms River. Also surviving are John's lifelong friends Paul and Cindy Gwiazdowski of Raritan, N.J.
A funeral mass for John will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 50 E Street, Seaside Park, N.J. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Cremation will be private.
We respectfully request you do not send flowers. Donations in John's memory can be made to the Parish of St. Junipero Serra, St. Catherine's Hall Renovation Fund, 50 E. Street, Seaside Park, N.J., or in the alternative, please say a simple prayer for all who are suffering, and their families.
