John Anthony Pandolfi, 64, died unexpectedly on February 22, 2023, at his home in St. Charles, MO. John was the son of the late Tony and Dorothy Pandolfi, and brother of Nancy Hadfield, Jennifer Pandolfi, Jane Pandolfi Bondi, and Pete Pandolfi.
Born on January 7, 1959, in St. Charles, John attended Blackhurst Elementary, Hardin Middle School, and St. Charles High School, graduating in 1977. He played trumpet in the SCHS Band. He worked several jobs while attending college, earning a BS/BA degree in accounting in 2006 from the University of Phoenix. His family was very proud of his accomplishment.
John was Manager of Sales and Use Tax at XTRA Lease LLC, a member of the National Directory of Registered Tax Preparers and Professionals, and worked for over 30 years as a tax specialist at H&R Block. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues and clients.
John was a military history buff who followed his father, Tony, as someone who loved planes and cars. He was a skillful and artistic craftsman with a legendary collection of model airplanes that he assembled with great precision and historical accuracy. He enjoyed driving his restored 1966 Ford Fairlane, his bright red 2006 Mustang, and his F150 pickup truck for daily use. John especially loved volunteering at the annual Reno Air Shows and driving his Fairlane in the Detroit Woodward Dream Cruise. One of his proudest moments was accompanying his father to Washington, D.C., on an Honor Flight for WWII veterans.

I just got a shock learning about John's sudden passing. I have known John so long that I don't remember how we met. I worked at Mark Twain Hobby for many years so it was probably through there, and then through H&R Block and him doing my taxes each year for as long as I can remember. He helped me make the trip to Reno with him in 1999. John was also very supportive of my son Sean and his military career. John was just a genuinely nice, generous person, very giving of himself and his talents. And he was a true Ford Blue Ford man!! John and I saw eye to eye on many levels and subjects. We texted back and forth last November, my last contact with him, and he was checking up on me regarding some family business that he was aware of, and that was just typical Johnnie. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the rest of the family and please know John will be remembered and missed so very much.
