John Patterson Obituary
Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late J. Will and Ruth Schultheiss Patterson.
John served his country in the Army Reserves and was a member of Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Will and Ruth Patterson; sister, Susan Allison; and two nephews, Jason Byers and Drew Allison.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, John is survived by his daughters, Heather Patterson and Suzanne Patterson; two grandchildren, Will and Jack Patterson; sister, Beth Knapp (Bill); sister in law, Robin Byers (Jerry), two brothers in law, Danny Martin (Faye), Andy Martin (Sarah); nephews and nieces, Stuart Knapp, Erin Layland (Ralph), Melissa Champion (Phil), Daniel Martin (Austin), Jesse Martin, Ransome Martin, and Janie Jenkins (Ben).
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church followed by a time of visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodruff Road Presbyterian Church or Fair Play Camp School.
