John is preceded in death by his father, Reafes Morris; his brothers, Robbie and Jim Spires; grandparents, John and Lola Kovalchik; grandfather, Raymond Yonker; sister-in-law, Rita Damron; and mother-in-law, Sarah McComas (Don).
John is survived by his wife, Pamela Lea Spires (Damron); mother, Anna Morris; father-in-law, Lowell Damron; daughters, Kia Boling, Ashley Pipes, Kenzie Spires; brother, Lonny Spires (Tina Clark); two sisters, Kathy and Connie Morris; sisters-in-law, Trudi (Pat) LeMaster and Karen (James) Dotson; brothers-in-law, Troy Nace and Kevin (Perla) Damron; grandchildren, Jauhna, Hunter, Cambree, Roczen, and Hayes; many nieces and nephews. Also, several friends made from his love of NHRA Drag Racing.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Thursday, October 19, 2023, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral & Cremation Services, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, 11:00 am at the Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home with Steve Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Our families grew up together and when John was there, it was never a dull moment. What a time we had all through the years. And it was always a nice to see John at the drag strip.
