John Wesley "Butch" Tucker Sr., age 75 years 10 months, and 22 days. Butch was born January 29, 1949 and departed this life on December 21, 2024, at CoxHealth Medical Center South.
Butch was surrounded by his special person, Vicki; his children, Tina (Tony) Flowers of Tennessee, Tammy Warren (Teddy Burns) of Tennessee, and John (Shawna) Tucker of Willard, Missouri.
Butch never knew a stranger; he would talk to almost anyone about almost anything. Butch always said what he meant and meant what he said. He was a very proud man. He loved his family and friends very much, but fishing and spending time with his Schnauzers, Sparky and Willy, was his passion.
Butch was in the Navy, worked as a mortician and ambulance driver, and was a deputy sheriff in Dallas County, Missouri. He retired as a correctional officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Kraft Foods as a local truck driver, and City Utilities in their maintenance department.
The last two years, Butch has had a hard time with his health, but always held his head high. The day Butch left us, God gained an amazing angel.
Butch may be gone from our sight, but he will never be gone from our hearts, or forgotten.
A burial will take place at a later date, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
His care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.

"Butch" was a good guy. I didn't know him as well as others, but from the time I met him, I knew he was a good man. I would have like to have known the part of him that loved to fish, but I did get to meet the man of the stories. "Butch" was a great story teller and some of those stories he told, you could tell was first hand exposure to them. "Butch" was always good to me, and I am ever thankful to him for his daughter Tina Renee Tucker, now Flowers. He is in a far better place than this old world, and I know he leaves some mighty big boots to fill. His son John, and my brother is more than capable, because of the blood running through his veins. He is a good man just like his dad. And Tammy Tucker, his other daughter, has that same spit and fire within her. "Butch" you leave a great legacy in those you left behind. I will forever be thankful for meeting you and look forward to seeing you again when I get to cross over that great lake to the Holy Divine, but first I want to see Jesus. Man, I am going to miss you, and never forget you. Would love to hear just one more time, "you know, Tone, I don't know"! But now you do, Love you, man. I will always take care of your daughter, Tina, and help the others you leave behind. See you soon, Dad.
