John Alan Wienczkowski, age 62, of Millcreek, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by family.
He was born in Erie on August 8, 1961 a son of the late Robert and Charlotte Knoebel Wienczkowski.
John was a 1979 graduate of McDowell High School and went on to serve our country in the United States Navy.
He was a talented drywall hanger for over 40 years and most recently had worked for Advanced Finishing Systems.
He loved golfing, gardening, fishing and bowling. John was a life member of the St. Francis Ushers Club and was a member for the Millcreek American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Charles and Theresa Knoebel; Paternal grandparents Edward and Anna Wienczkowski; three brothers: Michael, Gary, and Mark Wienczkowski; and a sister Lisa McCain.
John is survived by his son Yosh Wienczkowski of Albion; two brothers: Jim and Daniel (Diane) Wienczkowski; four sisters: Theresa (Jim) Grasinger; Susan (Mike) Ross; Carrie (Charlie) Gardner; and Ann (Jeff) Markham; a brother in law Mark McCain; many nieces and nephews; and his fur kitties Willie and Dora.
Friends are invited to call on the family on Tuesday August 22nd from 11am until the time of the service at 12:30pm at Burton Quinn Scott, Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge, 3801 West 26th St.
