Patricia Jo Earl Wienczkowski, 58, of Erie, passed away Thursday September 22, 2022 at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness. She was born in Erie on March 30, 1964 a daughter of the late Charles E. and Irene K. Boinski Earl.
Patricia worked as a bartender at the St. Francis Ushers Club and was a member of the Pulaski, Huzar, and St. Francis Ushers Clubs. She enjoyed fishing, golfing, flowers, unicorns, and gardening. The most important thing to her was her family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son in infancy, Dustin Charles Melvin; and two brothers, David and Dean Earl.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Wienczkowski; two sons, Douglas Melvin (Nicole Bardwell) and Zachary Melvin (Erika) all of Erie; one daughter, Brandy Melvin (Alaa Al-Hachami) of Detroit, MI; two stepdaughters, Megan Abu-Zebiba (Adnan) of Iraq and Jaimie Wienczkowski of Erie; 16 grandchildren; two sisters, Dana Earl-Bruno (Joseph) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Jackie Earl of Erie; one brother, Charles Earl of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family extends special gratitude to Dr Peter Laucks who tirelessly cared for Patricia and her loved ones.
