William Wienczkowski Obituary

Visit the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Wintergreen - Erie website to view the full obituary.

William (Bill) Wienczkowski passed away on Thursday October 2, 2025. He is survived by sons Bryan (Elkie) and Chad both living in Florida; sister, Christine Rossman of Erie and grandchildren Kaitlyn and Ashton of Florida and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie; brother, Thomas and parents Roman and Eleanor Wienczkowski.

Bill was born in Erie, Pennsylvania attending Holy Trinity and St Luke’s elementary schools, Erie Tech High School and Gannon College. Shortly after marrying Rosemarie, they moved to Syracuse, New York and then to Florida before returning to Erie a few years ago.

He spent the last two years at Nightingale Nursing Home. The family wishes to thank all those wonderful people who kindly attended to him and his care. Please know that we appreciate all the hard work and effort you extended to him looking after his needs and comfort.

Bill had an engineering mind and was naturally curious about how things operated. He was a self-taught car mechanic and an avid house remodeler, and he enjoyed all things about old and new cars and tractors. He truly and enthusiastically enjoyed hilarious movies, a love shared by his sons.

Bill will be missed by his family and his wonderful friends.

Friends are invited to a service celebrating Bill’s life at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc., West Ridge, 3801 W. 26th St., Erie, PA on Friday October 17, 2025 at 11 am.
