John H. Zint, 90, entered into rest April 9, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare in Petersburg, IN. John was born to John Mathias and Ruth Elizabeth (Ornduff) Zint on August 7, 1934, in Warrick, County.
John has a love for the outdoors, being raised on the family farm he enjoyed growing vegetables, and his own tobacco. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and woodworking. His greatest passion was his music. At a very young age he learned to play multiple instruments. He wrote and played his own songs. He performed for many years at the Gold Nugget in Reno, NV.
John is survived by his sister Dorothy Riley of Petersburg IN. and brother Frank (Betty) Zint of Petersburg, IN. Along with 24 nieces and nephews, multiple great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edsel Zint and Herman Zint, sisters Mary Ruth Zint and Wanda Gentry.
As John always ended his sets with this song- "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You Until We Meet Again".
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Lamb Basham Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. with Father Frank Renner officiating. Burial will follow at Barnett Chapel Cemetery in Elberfeld, IN.
