Johnny Joe Madden

Johnny Joe Madden, 59 of Norman, Oklahoma, left this life for a better place on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at his home.
He was born on September 26, 1962, at Norman Regional Hospital, to Roy Carl and Clo Ellen (Reynolds) Madden. He lived in this community all his life, graduating from Moore High School. Johnny cut his long hair after that milestone and took his place to help build and manage the family business, Madden Steel Buildings. Johnny's legacy can be summed up as loving, kind, fun, spiritual, charismatic, and smart -he knew something about everything, and the Farmer's Almanac was a favorite read of his. He had a real knack for comforting his children, and his other family and friends. He always held his childhood and adult memories close in his mind. Johnny will be missed by his family, friends, and everyone whom his life touched.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Roy Madden in 2004, and his brother Richard Madden in 2005. It's a blessing that they will be together again. He was also preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Lemual and Ruby Madden, and Ben and Lou Ellen Reynolds.
Johnny is survived by a son, Joshua Joe Madden, of Norman, as well as two bonus sons, Heath T. Bohon, and Mark O. Bohon III and their families, all of whom he considered his own; one sister, Wendy, and her husband Mauricio Maruri, also of Norman; his loving mother, Clo Ellen Madden of Norman; several nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Services will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Faith Crossing Baptist Church, located at 13701 S. Penn Ave. in Oklahoma City. Interment will follow the service at the Washington Cemetery in Washington, Oklahoma.
