Josemanuel C. Morgado, known affectionately as Joe to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at his home in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Born on October 14, 1951, in Torres Vedras, Portugal, Joe's journey of 73 years was marked by a life filled with love, innovation, and the joy of exploration.
Joe's early years in Portugal instilled in him a deep appreciation for his heritage. His adventurous spirit brought him to the United States, where he met and married Joanne King Morgado. Together they built a beautiful family, including their three children Leigh McKenzie, Richard Morgado and Elizabeth Morgado. His role as a husband and father was one, he took with great pride, and his guidance and wisdom will be profoundly missed by his family. He is also survived by his grandson Connor Mckenzie and his four siblings Antonio Morgado, Carlos Morgado, Maria Henrietta Young, and George Morgado.
Professionally, Joe was known for his ingenuity. His career spanned several decades in the trucking and equipment rental industries, where he brought his expertise to companies such as Delta Truck Body Company, Keystone Truck Equipment Inc., American Rentals, Armellini Trucking and Heritage Ridge Golf. Joe's colleagues respected him for his intelligence and his knack for solving complex problems. His contributions to the field were not just through his labor but also through the numerous friendships he cultivated over the years.
Joe's interests were as vast as his intellect. He liked fishing and his passion for technology extended from computers to gaming, where he enjoyed not just playing but understanding the intricacies of each system. Joe's hands were rarely still; he was a talented mechanic who could often be found tinkering with motorcycles, automobiles, lawn mowers, electronics, and light bulbs. His love for fabrication and inventing was evident in the numerous projects he undertook, always eager to improve or create something new.
Described as intelligent, handy, and interesting, Joe's presence was a source of inspiration. His ability to weave knowledge into practical applications made him an invaluable resource to those around him. His stories and the wisdom they contained will be retold and cherished by all who knew him.
Joe's passing leaves a void in the fabric of the lives he touched. He will be remembered as a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a legacy of curiosity and creativity. His was a life well-lived, and his spirit will continue to guide us. Rest in peace, Joe. Your memory will forever be a beacon of light to your family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing you.
