Joseph Michael Hines, 72, of Pax, WV. passed away on February 21, 2025. Mike Hines, as he preferred to be called, was born March 14, 1952 in Welch, WV and served in the Marine Corps for three years before being Honorably discharged. Mike also worked as a contractor for many years and was very active in his church community.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy; his children, Michael (Jessica) and Dawn (David); grandchildren, Christopher, Jamason, Nathaniel, Aydan, Owen; and siblings, Lois, Linda, Brenda, Robert, Dale, Kerry; and great grandchildren.
Mike Hines was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Myrtle; his wife Kathy; and siblings, Mack, David, Larry, and Carolyn.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Weirwood Community Church in Weirwood with Pastor Tom Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Pax Community Cemetery in Pax, WV. with military rites to be conducted by the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the church.
Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He never knew a stranger and never failed to lend a helping hand.
