I knew Joe since grade school and our whole family knew the Mahalko family when they lived on N. Jefferson Rd. In Malapardis. I lost touch with Joe until he scheduled a reunion of the first graduating class of Hanover Park High School. Such a thoughtful, giving person and so diligent and hard-working to contact 100 people from our 1958 graduating class. I, along with so many other people, will miss Joe´s presence, but will enjoy his spirit. Joyce Chmelowitz Wiedeman

I can remember one of my family's trips back east to visit extended family. The Mihalko's were part of a trip that I remember a camping and the kids playing while the parents tended to camp. I remember feeling that their home was filled with love and so welcoming as they felt like family to us!
Very fond memories of the little time spent with my parent's good friends and my sister's godparents.

Joey was a great guy - always helping everyone. I will never forget when he came to visit me after my stroke - that meant so much to me. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. RIP my friend.

Joe (aka Joey Baby and "here comes trouble") was always such a special and fun part of my work day. His joyful spirit, his strong work ethic, and the way he made the best out of every situation is something that will always stick with me. His smile will be greatly missed. It was a pleasure and an honor to know him.
