Joseph Strakal Obituary
He served in the US Navy for five years and then served 26 years in the US Army, retiring as a Master Sargent, E-8.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Selma Strakal; children, Carolyn Province and companion, Dolly, John Strakal, Rita Taylor and her husband, Barry, and Bryan Strakal; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Jeffries and her husband, William.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home and a private family service will take place at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made at the Mountaineer Food Bank at www.mountaineerfoodbank.org.
Online condolences may be made to the family at www.hastingsfuneralhome.com.
