There goes Joseph Vincent Williams, the man who made us laugh till we cried, the man who introduced us to the genius of Nicolas Sparks, and the man who, against all odds, remained a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan – even while living in the heart of Utah. Born on June 21st 1966 in Del Rio, Texas, Joseph, or Joe as he preferred, had a knack for life that was as grand as his heart and as infectious as his laughter. He was charismatic, witty, funny, and loving. We can say without a doubt, his greatest achievement, and the one he was most proud of was not his dedication to Preferred Paving, but all his children's accomplishments. Despite their divorce, Jamie and Joe remained close friends and had many adventures raising their four beautiful children.
Joe's love for life extended beyond his kids and his work. He was passionate about several things, but none compared to the love he had for his kids, his dog Kyle, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Harley Davidson and softball. Joe wasn't just an ordinary fan; he was the kind of fan who would wear his lucky jersey, and scream at the TV during every game. He was a joker too, always ready with a prank or a funny comment to lighten the mood.
In his downtime, Joe loved to kick back with a beer and a good movie. He had a particular soft spot for 'The Notebook', 'The Lake House', and was a secret rom-com aficionado. But don't let that fool you; he also loved a good laugh, counting 'Cat in the Hat', 'Talladega Nights', and 'Dodgeball' among his favorites. He knew how to enjoy life, whether it was on a Carnival Cruise or just spending quality time with his kids. Truly, Joe was a man who lived life to the fullest.
Joe leaves behind his mother, Noemi Mara Willis and her husband James Willis; his proud children Karsten, Jaden, and Kache Williams as well as Symbree Minniear; his ex-wife, Jamie Williams; his sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Callin Lindsay, his three nephews and niece; and his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Kristen Williams. As well as numerous family members and friends. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Henry Williams Sr. As we remember Joe we encourage everyone to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page to celebrate the life of a man who was truly larger than life. As Joe used to say, "If you ain't first, you're last. Beat ya suckers!"
Joe wanted nothing more than his children to be taken care of. With that being said in lieu of flowers and wanting to help the family please use the Venmo below to donate.
