Josephine LaBruno (nee Vivinetto) "Jay", 104, formerly of Nutley, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, just one day after celebrating her 104th birthday. Born on February 14, 1921, in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Maria (nee Pizzolato) and Antonio Vivinetto.

A woman of many talents, Jay was known for her love of dancing and her skillful knitting. Fluent in Italian, she delighted in the language and culture of her heritage. Known for her sharp wit and great sense of humor, Jay always had a smile and a good laugh to share with those around her. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her sister, Lena Casarola, sister-in-law Rose Lemond, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfonso J. LaBruno, and her brother, Joseph Vivinetto.
