Josephine F. Ross, age 98, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born in McWilliams, PA on July 26, 1927, a daughter of the late George and Letha (Freedline) Fordoski.
She worked as a stockroom attendant for Johnson Control. Josephine attended Glenwood Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, ice fishing and going to the beach. She traveled the world with her twin sister. She was an amazing and strong woman.
In addition to her parents, she was welcomed into heaven by her husband Richard P. Ross, twin sister Jacqueline Kriner and brothers, Chester and Tommy Fordoski; a son, Martin Ross; grandsons, Scott Joslin and Jimmy Ross; a son-in-law, Eric Joslin; and two best friends, Betty Gray and Evelyn Blanchard.
Josephine is survived by a daughter Joann Joslin of Smithville, MO, a son James Ross, wife Lois of Waterford; grandchildren Stacey Joslin, Evan Joslin, wife Andrea, Jennifer Ross, Matt Ross, wife Julie, Travis Ross, Allison Gore, husband Brad, Tim Waterhouse and Luke Waterhouse, wife Kara; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street on Sunday October 5, from 2 p.m. until the time of the service, at 6 p.m. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Erie City Mission or the ANNA Shelter.
