Josh was a really great kid and grew into a superb young man.
He had joined the Navy and was home on leave when we asked if he would house sit and take care of the farm animal menagerie we had at the time. We were headed on vacation and he was so gracious to do this for us.
At the time we raising ducks, geese, bummer lambs, rabbits, cats, and an illegal pig. I had written down very explicit feeding and care instructions (which lasted for years of future vacations) and a verbal instruction not to let the pig escape (since he was illegal).
I checked in with him a couple of times while we were gone just to verify everything was ok.
When we arrived home at the end of the vacation he related that the pig had indeed gotten out. He was in his dress white Navy uniform chasing the pig down the street. I can still imagine the site in my mind to this day. He did capture the pig (I´m sure with neighbors help) and return him to his enclosure.
I will never forget the kindness he did for us house sitting...and chasing an errant pig.
