Josie Lynn Godsey, age 22, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was born in Louisville, KY on March 5, 2002, to Joe Earl Godsey and Lisa Renee Godsey. Josie had a loving heart she was crazy about being an aunt and loved her nieces and nephews, she liked music, butterflies, her fur baby Rambo the cat. However, she loved and adored her dad, mom and her grandmother Irene. Josie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Irene Rutledge, and Grandfather Charles Godsey, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Lisa Godsey, father Joe Godsey (Linda), sisters Christin Kinney (Matthew), Rachel Rose (Scott), and Taylor Godsey, niece Layla Rose, Aria Ryan, nephews Christopher Ryan, Ollivander Farrow, and Granger Farrow, Grandmother Linda Godsey, along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, August 30, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 North Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Family and Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 1p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
