Joy was a wonderful teacher; I remember the the first time we met during a music class and she was just the most joyous person there. Learning from her was so much fun. Over time, she became much more than a teacher but a great friend.

Joy was like a big sister to me. My parents would get together during the holidays because our dads were brothers. Joy would play barbies with me and we would dance to music together. The twist and polkas were commonly heard during parties at her parents house. Sometime we would meet each other when our parents would gather at our Aunt Marie and Uncle Richards house. At Aunt Maries house we would watch Bananza together and dance in Aunt Maries basement where the food and party usually was. Good food and fun was a constant where ever we met. When I was in College, Joy invited me over for pasta and a piano lesson. She trusted me to watch her twins for awhile, so I taught her twins their first word, which was very functional, "fish." Her twins would say fish when they wanted goldfish crackers. Joy always laughted that they didn't learn mama or dada first because of me. Joy had a great sense of humor.
I shall miss her and our long conversations. Prayers for her family. Joy is now reunited with her loving husband, Joe, her son, David, her parents and Aunts and Uncles and all who have gone before her. Rest in peace Joy. We wont forget you.

I first met Joy in the late 1980s or early 1990s, in the Nashua Chamber Orchestra. We also played together in the Eclectic Classical Woodwind Quintet and NH Philharmonic Orchestra. Joy was one of my dearest musical colleagues and a wonderful friend. I admired her inner light, her kindness, and her dogged determination. My heart goes out to her family and her large circle of friends. I shall miss her terribly. Rest well, Joy. I feel comforted that you and Joe are reunited once more.

I remember Joy´s big smile and hearty laugh. Her hugs were amazing! She was the Mom at Carvel, my first job. She taught me to decorate cakes and to write Happy Birthday almost as calligraphy. To this day it pains me to see a messy scrawl across a cake! She and Joe are forever embedded in my heart and memories. I remember them fondly. My condolences to her family.

John & Helena I send prayers & condolences to your entire family. I have Heard the music and danced to it. Your mother is that music. Her leadership is natural & loving. She may not be with us on earth, but she will always be a part of us. l cherish our days at Carvel.

Hello. I didn´t know Joy and from what a I read, if I had, my life would be a bit more richer! I do know her amazing daughter Helena has touched so many lives in her career at SNHU. If I could say something to Joy it would be this; "Joy you sounded like a very cool person with lots of pizzaz and passion. You lived fully and will be missed tremendously. You raise a very kind, genuine and giving daughter who so many people respect and love. May you rest in peace with your beloveds."
