Joy Jackson Lamb

Joy Jackson Lamb was born on April 7, 1958 and passed away peacefully at the age of 67 after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her husband, Randy, brother Dan "Rusty" Jackson, cousin Beverly Draper Roseman and dear friend Sherrie McGill, at Big Bend Hospice House on October 10, 2025.
Joy was the wife and best friend of Randall O. Lamb for 38 years and a resident of Tallahassee, FL and formerly of Harbourside Condominiums in South Pasedana, FL. She was a loving daughter to James Daniel Jackson and Willa Jackson of Tampa, FL. Anyone who knew or met Joy knew that she lived up to her name because she was a true JOY to be around.
She enjoyed traveling both in the US and overseas. She was a huge reader which you could see by her personal library at her home. Joy attended the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of South Florida where she finished with a masters in computer science. She loved going to school and continuing her education. Her working career started with an internship with Shell Oil, Electric Maintenance and Construction, G-Ted's and J P Morgan Chase where she finished her career managing a team of analysts, developers and programmers.
Joy loved the gathering of friends and family, laughter and a glass of wine or two. Joy will be remembered by the ones that knew her as a beautiful, intelligent, kind, interesting woman with a strong will to live life to the fullest.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joy's name to the Big Bend Hospice Foundation, Inc. of Tallahassee at bigbendhospice.org. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date with family and close friends.
