Joyce A. Knous, 90, of Catawba Island, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her home. She was born March 18, 1935 in Fort Wayne, IN the daughter of Noble and Edna (Buss) Kimberlin. She married Jack L. Knous on May 28, 1960 and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2018. Joyce previously worked at Libbey Owens Ford, Toledo, OH. She enjoyed painting murals, fixing things and gardening.
Surviving are her daughters: Joy (David) Downing of Norwalk, OH, Jill A. (Kevin) Kimmet of Port Clinton; grandchildren: Erin (Brett) Robinson of Sandusky, Kelly (Travis) Bollinger of Clyde, Jonathon Downing of Norwalk and Ashley (Zach Smith) Kimmet of Sandusky; twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and sister: Jeanette Hartman.
Private funeral services were held Monday, March 24, 2025 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH. Interment was in Catawba Island Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of Ottawa County, 2424 E. Sand Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452.
