Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the age of 49. Born on August 19, 1975 to Sir Knight Antonio J.A. Pido Ph.D. and M. Theresa (Gradoville) Pido. in Lansing, Michigan. JJ spent most of his life spreading joy and laughter through his passion for the arts and his vibrant personality. He was a man of many talents, with a heart full of love for his family, friends, and the community that he served. His faith was an essential part of his life; he attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Schools in his youth and served as an altar server for many years. Graduating from Everett High School class of 1995, JJ went on to pursue his passion in the film industry receiving his Bachelor's Degree from the Theatre Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts. He was a gifted actor and choreographer, working tirelessly in the movie production business. His love for the arts was only surpassed by his dedication to physical fitness and martial arts. A black belt in karate, he delighted in teaching others, often on the beach in California, where he spent several years of his life. He was an example of health and wellness, inspiring those around him with his discipline and devotion to well-being. JJ was also a passionate fan of his beloved Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Red Wings. JJ lived his life to the fullest, never wasting a moment on regret or sorrow. His time with those he loved was filled with laughter, love, and countless memorable moments. He was a friend to everyone he met, and he left a lasting impact on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Surviving are his son, Emilio Pido; his mother, Maria Theresa "Tess" Pido; brother, Ignatius "Denis" (Cori) Pido as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Antonio J.A. Pido; brothers, Antonio Pido Jr., Pablo Pido; sister, Teresita Johnson and infant brother, Joseph Pido
Visitation for JJ will be held at Skinner Funeral Home, 101 W. Jolly Rd. Lansing, MI 48910 on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, and Thursday, April 10, 2025, both from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary prayer starting at 7pm on Thursday. Visitation will carry over to Friday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish with a Funeral Mass starting at 12 p.m. at the church.
