Juanita De La Rosa Yanez Martinez, who was affectionately known as Janie or baby Jane, fell in love when she was young and married Gabriel Yanez, Jr.; they eventually gave their hearts to the Lord at a young age. She would become a minister's wife and have three children Darlene, Gabriel III, and David. Unfortunately, Gabriel Yanez passed away in 1972, leaving Juanita to raise her three young children. As a single mother, She raised her young children to follow God and know how to pray. In 1976 she met Salvador Martinez, Jr., who loved her and her children with all his heart. The couple married, raising a blended family together with hard work and love. The following year they welcomed their daughter Samantha to the family. The couple had many happy years together until her recent passing. Juanita had wonderful life seeing her children grow and falling in love with her grandchildren. One of her biggest desires was to see her son David's four children, David, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Faith, graduate from High School. She was able to see all three boys graduate from Kingwood Park High School, and Faith will graduate this spring. She was also excited to see Nathaniel graduate from the University of Houston this past December and know that David will graduate from Texas State University in the spring.
She was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt, daughter, and grandparent-a woman of great faith and a mighty woman of prayer. She loved Jesus with all her heart. She loved simple things like road trips and great food, especially steaks. She missed her dad, mom, brothers, and sisters who passed before her. She especially missed her first love Gabriel Yanez Jr. whom she always remembered and talked about to everyone. Now she has joined them all in Heaven. Heaven is made better with mom now in the ranks. Thank you for all the prayers for the family and friends of Juanita De La Rosa Yanez Martinez.
