Anne Michelle Peters, known affectionately as Annie to her loved ones, was called home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2025. Born on October 18, 1986, in Austin, Texas, Annie's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter were a gift to all who knew her. She passed away peacefully in Dripping Springs, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and faith.
Annie was the cherished daughter of David and Connie Peters. She was a loving sister to her brother, Thomas and his wife, Celeste, and to her brother, Andrew Peters. She was a doting aunt to Harrison and Piper Peters, and she held a special place in her heart for her grandmother, Janice Peters Akin. Her extended family, including uncles and aunts, Perry Kemplin and Janice Dinken, Keith Kemplin and Julie Mahoney, George and Christine King, and cousins, Kathryn King, Garret Peters and Devin Peters, will forever remember her generous spirit.
A proud graduate of Lockhart High School, Annie carried her passion for literature and learning to Texas State University, where she earned her degree in English. Her love for stories and the written word led her to become an administrative assistant at ARCIL for a decade, where she worked diligently to support the organization's mission. Annie's creative talents shone brightly when she authored the young adult book, "The Dragon Who Would be King," touching the hearts of readers young and old.
Annie's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. She lived by the words of Proverbs 31:25, "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future." Her faith was her guide, and she embodied its principles through her actions and the warmth of her companionship.
Her interests were as varied as they were rich; Annie was an avid reader, a skilled writer, an enthusiastic movie reviewer, and a lover of gatherings with family and friends. In recent years, she discovered a passion for country western dancing and gave generously of her time to the community theater, bringing joy and entertainment to many.
Annie's courage in the face of adversity, her generous heart, and her ability to find humor in life's challenges were an inspiration to all. She approached life with a rare combination of strength and gentleness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she met.
As we bid farewell to Annie, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. Her laughter, her kindness, and her unwavering faith have left a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever dance among us, reminding us to love generously, live courageously, and laugh heartily.
We take comfort in the knowledge that Annie is now at peace in the loving embrace of her Savior. While we will miss her dearly, we are grateful for the time we were blessed to share with her on this journey. Until we meet again, we hold her memory close to our hearts, knowing that her love continues to surround us.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Dripping Springs Church of Christ. A reception will follow at the church.
