Judith M. "Judy" Moore

Judith M. "Judy" Moore, 81, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Complete Care of La Plata Nursing Center surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 2, 1944 in La Plata, Maryland at Physicians Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Warder and Marguerite Elizabeth Warder. Judy graduated from Oxon Hill High School in 1962 and married her high school sweetheart, David, that same year. Judy worked in the Human Resources Department at Woodward and Lothrop for 28 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Judy was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of La Plata. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George David Moore; daughter Deborah M. Rios; sons Troy David Moore and James Clyde Moore. Judy is survived by her sisters Joanne Eddy, June Kennedy, and Yvonne Pritchett; brother Jerry Warder; grandchildren Carolyn Cupp and her husband Daniel, Abagail Rios, and Sara Moore; five great grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10AM until time of service at at 12Noon at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 with the Reverend Gary Schneider officiating. Interment to follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the First Baptist Church of La Plata. Judy was kind, loving, and a very giving person who always put others first and she will be greatly missed. Judy now joins her beloved husband and three children in eternal joy where they are all reunited once more.
