Julia O. Pinedo, a cherished homemaker and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on May 23, 1933, Julia's life was a tapestry woven with love for her family, a passion for cooking, and a joyful spirit that brought laughter to all who were fortunate enough to share in her company.
Throughout her life, Julia dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family, fostering a warm, nurturing environment where love was ever-present and laughter was commonplace. Her children, Jorge, Mary Ann, Jacobina (Coy), Mary Lou, and Monica, were the lights of her life. Julia embraced her role as a mother with grace, providing guidance, warmth, and endless support.
Her culinary skills were legendary, with cooking and baking being more than just tasks; they were her language of love. Julia spent countless hours in the kitchen, creating meals that brought her family together. The aroma of fresh bread and her famous family recipes would fill the air, inviting everyone to gather around the table for both sustenance and shared stories. Julia was very dedicated to the Marathon to Marathon walking event where she walked the 5K event for 10 years with her family beside her.
Julia found peace in the beauty of nature. Her passion for gardening her roses was a reflection of her love for the simple joys in life. Each bloom represented her nurturing spirit and the care she extended to everyone around her. In addition to tending to her garden, Julia's hobbies included sewing and crocheting, pursuits through which she expressed her creativity and shared warmth. She was often seen walking in her neighborhood, finding solace in the gentle rhythm of her steps while tending to her yard work with pride.
Julia is survived by her loving children: Jorge Pinedo (Delia Carreon), Mary Ann Villarreal (Lolo), Jacobina "Coy" (Ruben) Gonzalez, Mary Lou Estrada, Monica Pinedo and Ricky Renteria. She also cherished her sister, Olivia Garcia. Their hearts carry the imprint of her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love. Julia was fortunate enough to have and enjoy the love of 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She joins in eternal rest her beloved husband, Jose L. Pinedo, alongside her sons Jaime Pinedo and Javier Pinedo, and twin infant sons. Julia is now reunited with her parents, Guillermo and Elisa Ortiz, and her brothers Crespin Ortiz, Willie Ortiz, sisters Estella Macias, Luisa Martinez and Irene Ramirez. They all wait for her in a place filled with peace and love.
Julia O. Pinedo's legacy will continue to flourish through the lives she touched, the love she spread, and the cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of her family. Her spirit will live on in the laughter shared among those who loved her and in the beautiful blooms she so lovingly curated for others to enjoy.
