Julia E. (Rowan) Roberts, age 94 of Erie passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025. She was born May 13, 1930 in Brookville, PA the daughter of the late Maurice and Bernadette (Shick) Rowan.
A longtime resident of Erie, Julia and her husband Warren enjoyed the game of golf at Lakeview Country Club and Elk Creek golf course. She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic church and enjoyed the times spent with her large family and her 27 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren W. Roberts who died in 2011; a son Warren Roberts II who died in 2009; and her siblings, Ray and Tom Rowan, Ann Dacus, Sal DeMason, and Dorthea Ames. Julia is survived by her children; Steve Roberts (Sue), Dennis Roberts (Mary) Randy Roberts (Michelle) all of Erie, Matthew Roberts (Karen) of Valrico, FL; Joli Wilson (Jack), Sheila Roberts (Margaret) of VA, Trudy Hershelman, and Lisa Ferraro, all of Erie. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Julia’s family would like to Thank LECOM Hospice, especially Rich, Melissa, and Abby for their wonderful care.
Friends are invited to call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Downtown, 602 W.10th St., Erie on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Further visiting Tuesday at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2801 W.6th St. from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Church; LECOM Hospice, 2253 West Grandview Blvd, Erie, PA 16506 or the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th St., Erie, PA 16511.
