Julius Jamear "Jj" Staten

Julius Jamear Staten, best known as "JJ", was born on December 2, 2006, in Guntersville, Alabama, to the parents of Christine Wiley and Sabir Staten. He was lovingly raised alongside his younger brother Keilan. JJ passed in the early morning hours of September 4, 2023, in a single car accident while heading to football practice. With a contagious smile always on his face, he was considered a treasured friend to so many. He was passionate about playing football, moving into a varsity position as a freshman. JJ is survived by his parents; brothers Keilan and Tristyn Staten; sisters Kyleigh and Jaylei Staten; paternal grandparents Vernice Staten and James Rollins; maternal grandparents Lori and Steve Wiley; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. JJ will also be fondly remembered by his friends and teammates of Albertville High School. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Lifepoint Church, in Albertville, Alabama; with visitation from 1:00-2:30 p.m. His Celebration of Life will follow. JJ will be laid to rest in Memory Hill Cemetery, Albertville. The Honorary pallbearer will be Keilan Staten; assisted by the Albertville football team.
