June Blair, age 82, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2025 at Buena Vida Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Irwin of Sherwood Baptist Church officiating. Burial and arrangements are by same.
June, along with her life-long best friend and twin sister Jane, was born in Paris, Texas to Walter and Louise McDaniel, on September 5, 1943. She was raised in Kermit, Texas. Her family later moved to Monahans, Texas where she met and married Ray Dean Blair on September 24, 1961. He was a plumber by trade who owned his own company and later retired from ECISD. They were married 43 years until his death in 2004.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Odessa, Texas until she was no longer able to attend services. June was employed by Mark Knox Flowers as Front Manager for 25 years, retiring in 2004.
June is preceded in death by her husband Ray, twin sister Jane Armstrong, sister Mary Ellen VanCleave and brother Sammy McDaniel and parents Walter and Louise McDaniel.
June is survived by children Cheryl Gambell and husband Bill of Odessa, Jon Dell Blair and Daughter-in-love Maria Brown of Odessa and Rayne Hall and husband Dean of Odessa. She is survived by grandchildren Henry Gambell and wife Mandy of Leander, Texas, Michelle and Adam St. Louis, of Odessa, Cody Veach and wife Kaitlyn of Odessa, Casey Veach of Dallas, Texas, Emerie Hall of Unnaryd Sweden and Zack Hall of Hutchinson, Kansas. June has 6 great-grandchildren.
