He started his career as a glazier in 1995, and eventually started his own glass company.
In his free time Justin enjoyed working on anything small engine related- mini bikes, four wheelers, low rider trucks, and his favorite-loud stereos. He enjoyed piddling on things and spending time with his neighbor and best friend, Neil Brugh. If Justin wasn't home, we knew he was at Neil's.
Aside from his parents, Justin is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 27 years, Amy Melinda Lawson McElwain and their four children- Logan Ray (Amiya) McElwain, Olivia Catherine McElwain, Ean Bob McElwain, and Lora Ruth McElwain. He is also survived by his siblings Russell Scott (Kathy) McElwain and Robin Lee (Kevin) McQuitty, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Justin will be dearly missed by all. There will be a celebration of life for family and friends. Date is pending.

Our sympathy to Amy and the children. Just found out about Justin dying last night. He was way too young to die. He and his friends replaced all the window and doors in our Wanamaker home. He and his son Logan redid the interior of our enclosed patio that was damaged by carpenter bees. He replaced our large bathroom mirror. He was very talented and so very proud of his family.

My heartfelt sympathy to Justin's family. Justin was a student of mine at Franklin Central ... very personable and just an all around good guy ... he installed a door for me on my current home. I am so sorry his family's loss.
