SEYMOUR: Justine M. (Simon) Grueb, age 39 of Seymour, beloved wife of James Grueb, Jr. entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in Smilo Cancer Hospital, New Haven, with family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on September 21, 1983, she was the cherished daughter of Sharon (Burdette) Simon of Oxford, and the late John A. Simon.
Justine grew up in Oxford, and attended Seymour High School. She then went on to graduate magna cum laude from Fairfield University and obtained her Master's Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She was a valued member of Microboard Processing, Inc. where she was an Executive Director. Prior to joining Microboard, Justine was an Operations Manager with Verde Energy USA and from 2006 to 2014, Justine held roles at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in finance and operations.
Justine loved to travel, especially cruising to Bermuda. A true enjoyer of life, she enjoyed Broadway shows, touring CT Wineries, watching movies (especially Disney), as well as baking and was an avid reader. Most of all, she enjoyed all these things in the company of family and friends. Justine was a devoted wife and daughter, and was loved by everyone who knew her. The world was a better place with her in it, and we were all blessed to have been a part of her life. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her beloved husband, Jim, of 11 years and her loving mother, Sharon, survivors include her cherished dog, Stewie; great aunt and uncle, Linda Leary and her husband Daniel of FL; grandparents Robert Burdette and his wife Mimi of AZ; father-in-law and mother-on-law James Grueb, Sr. and his wife Linda of RI; brothers-in-law Stephen Grueb and his wife Katie of RI, and William Grueb and his wife Cory of MA; aunts, uncle, niece, nephews, several cousins as well as her friends and co-workers.
Relatives and friends can greet the family on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11am DIRECTLY in the Church of the Good Shepherd (St. Nicholas Parish) 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour, CT 06483 and interment will follow in Mt. Dear Jim and Sharon.
Words are very hard to express the deepest of condolences when it is for someone that has left us way too soon. Justine was truly an Angel on earth. She lit up a room by her infectious smile and sweet manner. I had the privilege of working with her at Sikorsky and then by Divine intervention we were seated together at a Seymour pink evening event before the pandemic. We had the best time catching up. This hurts us all and please know you are and have been in my thoughts and prayers. May her memory be eternal

Review this

13 years ago I moved into a town where I knew no one. I was lucky enough to have Justine and Jim as my neighbor. Justine treated me like I was part of her family. When I left Connecticut 10 years ago the hardest part was leaving this family behind. I am so grateful for your friendship and I cherish all the memories we had together.

The heaven received an Angel and she is the friendliest and most caring Angel there is.

Sharon and Jim, I wish I could be there to give you the biggest hug. I love you both very much
