Justine M. "Dolly" Schlegel

Justine M. "Dolly" Schlegel, 74, of Mertztown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2025, at her home. Born in Reading, PA, on October 2, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Norman Snyder, Sr. and Mable (Hinkle) Snyder.

A 1969 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School, Dolly worked for many years at the Bowers Hotel. In her spare time, she liked crafting, watching television, especially The Golden Girls, and riding on her husband Marvin's motorcycle.

She is survived by her son, Gordon V. George III; and her daughter, Jacqueline (George) Selesky wife of Edward Selesky. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Alyssa Hassman and Jesse Selesky; great-granddaughter, Arabella Vroman; and sisters, Jessilyn Welgoss and Chryl Hummel.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon V. George, Jr.; her second husband, Marvin F. Schlegel; and her brother, Norman Snyder, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in New Jerusalem Cemetery, 27 Lyons Road, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
