Kainen Michael Seldomridge, 23, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at his brother's home. Memorial Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, with a Memorial Service at 1 pm, both on Thursday, December 5th, at the Harrington Family Event Center, 218 Oak St. Bonner Springs, KS. Burial to follow in the Mount Sidney Cemetery near Linwood, KS.
The family suggest memorial contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. In care of the funeral home.
Kainen was born on June 27, 2001 in Kansas City, KS the son of Clinton Seldomridge and Amanda Hursh. Kainen loved being outdoors fishing, although he maybe was not all that good at it, as well as mushroom hunting and shooting his guns with his family and friends. He was known as the best "Backer-Upper" and loved his "Moon Boots".
Kainen is proceeded in death by these angels, all his great grandparents, his great uncle Christian Cochran, his uncle Jay Spivey, and friends that have preceded him Patrick Miller and Dustin Dorney. The family is sure they are all taking care of him. Kainen is survived by his parents and also leaves behind his two brothers Adam Hursh and his wife Stephanie and their four kids, and Isaiah Creach and his wife Brittany and their four kids, and his sister Journey Crosby of the home. His paternal grandparents Harold and Margaret Seldomridge, his aunt Lindsay Barnett and her son. Maternal Grandparents Tim Hursh and Brandy Ziph. Kainen has many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved very much and all say he was the best "UNC" ever. And we cannot forget his many friends and to only to name a few are Triston, Katie, Ethan, Marissia and Lance so many, really too many to name them all.

I met Kainen when he applied for a job with me at TSC commercial painting. His Dad was also working for me at that time, he introduced us.
Kainen was young and had a lot to learn about painting but he was eager.
He really enjoyed his job and gave it his all. As a painter you typically carry a set of basic tools. I remember the day he showed me the toolbox that he put together, he was excited and proud. I even handed off to him a couple of my brushes to get him started. Kainen had a big heart, he was always respectful and took pride in his work.
He was taken from this world too soon but I know his spirit will live on.
RIP Kainen
